Hi Brit-DMCers, Another good source for DeLoreans in USA is "Hemmings" magazine (I think available in UK in specialist mag shops!?) Also Trader-Online is an excellent source for cars all over USA. Gives you an idea of prices ... some are realistic, some rediculous, in all there is room for negotiation. http://www.collectorcartraderonline.com/adsearchprocess.html As Martin or Dan said, there is no substitute for being there to see the car yourself. Know what you are looking at by getting used to the DMC - ask UK owners to look at their cars ... know to look for the typical problems, rusting frame, petrol-pump disintegrating, etc... When you are standing there with cash in your hand a seller is more likely to drop that $2000 off the asking price! Remember people are not queing up to buy a DeLorean in USA, it takes those sellers a long time to sell a car. I was lucky in my search and dealings. I had spent a week looking at about 10 DeLoreans in LosAngeles. I had chosen to buy one but wasn't 100% convinced so told him I'd ring the next day. That evening in the "LosAngeles Times" my car-to-be appeared. The seller was re-advertising for the 3rd time (10months) and needed to sell to pay for house renovations. I went and saw thecar and immediately knew this was the one. It was pristine, 20k miles, grey, manual, owner a lawyer, clean garage, manuals, everything, etc ... the asking price was $2k less than the other car I was considering. Eventually we shook on a deal $4k cheaper than I was about to spend the evening before for a not-as-good car! NO substitute for being there yourself!!!
