Actually on most cars (especially this old) there isn't one. You get them on cars which have the "one-push" mechanism like my
Xantia - ie hold the switch down for half a second and it shuts the window completely. I'm pretty sure it does this by
detecting the increase in current drawn when the window motor stalls. The problem is the D's mechanism isn't strong enough to
withstand stalling, but yours is apparently still strong enough to lift it. I haven't dismantled my mechanism yet but I
believe it's the worm that fails. My advice would be to be very careful when you close the window!

YES. The problem is the relays which power the solenoids can weld themselvs shut. Also there are weaknesses in the module
which cause it to self-destruct. Further to this, it can also cause battery drain problems.

The way it assembles is REALLY wierd, and not how I first thought. The only way I managed to get it back together was to
seperate the bottom bit from the side wall bit.
