Hi Alistair

The accumulators I have fitted are Bosch 0438 170 039. This is a modified
accumulator, fitted to later cars with the KJET and other systems. This also
doesn't have the little union sticking out for the return feed pipe to
attach to. The return feed pipe just needs blanking off as on the old
accumulator the return feed pipe connection only acted as a damper for
noise.There is very little pressure there.

This accumulator is also a lot cheaper about £45 and the one main advantage
is that they will never suffer the same problems as the originals, losing
system pressure due to a split diaphragm sending fuel back down the return
feed pipe, which causes the hot starting problems.

You can get them from on old friend of mine, Ken Mills and if you say you
are from the DOC you will get trade discount. All prices quoted are plus VAT
& postage. I know he has helped Brian Hamilton on many an occasion.

delorean??

I have found a bosch store near me and will be heading down during the week.
