I had the exact same problem when re-attaching my fuel lines.  Make sure
they are square on before tightening and then have your ratchet and spanner
in a v-formation so that you can squeeze them together so both tools are
flush with one another.  You are literally a few mm from a good seal and you
may even hear a slight squeak as you make the seal.

Hi All

Does anyone know of a good way to stop a slight weep on a fuel
line... after taking out my kinked in tank fuel line and rotating it
ive knocked the return fuel connection (from the flexible hose to the
rigid metal fuel line) ...its only a vely slight weep but i cant
tighten the compression nut and olive up any further.
