That sounds fine and dandy to me Arran. 

Regarding the "dress code" for our Saturday Gala dinner, smart casual
will be fine. I will probably be in my suit, as a mark of respect to our
distinguished guests, but no problems, come however you like.

I was just going to ask myself about this. There at 36 of you coming 
on Friday, plus me (who lives here), but at least 2 are arriving after 
10.00.

So it's probably best if I put on a fairly reasonably priced dinner 
for you all to stop any arguments! I was thinking something along the 
lines of a homemade Steak and Ale Pie and chips, or Scampi and chips, 
or a veggie option for 8 quid, or with a 'serve yourself' dessert as 
well for 10 pounds.

Let me know what you think - I can do a table of 36 as a 'pre-gala-
dinner mini-dinner'!
