Stephen, That is a real bummer, especially on a test drive. You need to try and identify what exalts has happened. Prop the door open with a suitable lump of wood and investigate properly. It sounds like a broken torsion bar or the anchorage point ripped out. Either way its probably bad news, not made any easier as you are suck up in Scotland, with help a long way off! Regards ?
