Funny, my car, vin 6042 'McFly', has started this squeaking noise too. It appears from cold and lasts a few mins, disappears and then comes back and eventually goes away all together until the next time you start it.
Belt seems to be fine, but must investigate this one further. Looking forward to some spring/summer trouble free driving.

We've got a car in at the moment that was eating alternator belts and
they kept appearing to be "coming lose". The water pump bearing was shot
causing the belt to slip on the crankshaft pulley, making it very shiny
and squealing when cold, and over time, stretching the belt.
My own alternator belt snapped on the way back from LeMans. The first
most obvious sign this has happenned, before the temp starts to go up,
is that the battery light comes on. Both Nick and I had taken spare
belts for just such an occasion!
