ha ha, yeah that was funny. I'm used to my American 'heinz 57'
mixture of brands so I know not to boot it unless I'm in a reasonably
straight line and the roads are dry ;-) Change of underwear Dan? lol
I was amazed at the difference putting a complete set of new rubber
made to my Cavalier, I got 4x BF Goodrich tyres (all 4 fitted plus
tracking for £140) and it transformed the handling and the steering -
bearing in mind I dont have power steering on my Cav, the steering is
so much lighter since I replaced the 'budget' tyres that were on it
(which still had about 5mm of tread on them).
Anyway, when my house is sold, a new set of tyres and refurbing the
wheels are on the shopping list for Flopsy (along with everything
else) :-) I've decided I'm gonna have my wheels done in grey - so
sorry in advance to any purists out there :oP
At least I know my trailing arm bolts are ok (replaced with DMUK/DMC
Ltd Inconel ones), which I think is another essential item to change
on your car, especially if you dont know when they were last done.
They are as much of a safety item as tyres in my humble opinion, I
certainly wouldnt want a TAB failing when I'm driving about in my
pride and joy. :o(
