Mine is a great one... i help him find all the switches and show him 
how the car is put together etc etc. 

To his credit he checks absolutley every thing and advises on bits 
that he would do if it was his car. Same test guy now... 2 years 
running.. i actually think he enjoys me coming in to see him :)

At the end of the day the MOT test is there for a reason ... safety 
and sorry but rules are rules....

If your not happy try another test station....
