Depends on their hourly rate I guess, most garages charge about £40 per hour
plus VAT - when I worked at Renault it was £74 per hour plus VAT!  I wish I
got paid that much!!  lol

>From memory, when I got a new brake pipe on my Astra years ago, brake pipes
don't come 'ready shaped' so have to be shaped to fit from scratch.

They may well have also had to bleed your brakes at the same time, or maybe
the fittings were a sod to get off, so it's possible they did spend an hour
or so working on your car.

Thanks all of you guys for the suggestions :)

I did the MOT today and they told me one of the brake
pipe is rusted and need replacement. They charged me
GBP 70 to do it!!!! So I paid a total of GBP 100 today
to get my car MOTed!!

Gosh... I think I am ripped off by them. How much
should changing a brake pipe cost? I asked them to
return my old pipe to me, and to me, it doesn't worth
so much for a replacement.

Damn... I would much prefer to spend that money on my
D!!!

Anyway, Thanks again guys! Please let me know if I was
seriousely ripped off.
