Forgot to say mine is a August 81...so it looks as if the keys changed in August If Claire's 81 July has one key?

  I have a 81 with grooves and no flap Which has a two different sized keys, one for ignition and one for the doors, the door keys have a light on them..both keys have the DMC logo, I have a spare set thats exactly the same...howeverthe door keys do not fit the ignition.

    Do you have different keys for your car then?

    Flopsy has one key (plus the spare of course) that fits both the doors,
    ignition and petrol cap and she was built July 1981 (black interior & gas
    flap).
