I fully agree with you doing your research, I was in the Club for
several years before I bought my first car.  I have tow tops tips for
you.
 
1)     join our Doc-Uk Yahoo group, its free?..( I have copied this
email to it)

Pay the £30 to include the last 4 back issues.
 
 
 By the time you have read that little lot, monitored our newsgroup for
a few weeks, met some of our very friendly and helpful ( young) members,
you will be in a position to buy one.   Cars come up for sale all the
time. My 3rd top tip would be to spend a bit more and buy a good one
that is fully sorted out.
