Did the disks just fail, dead, no-more. or was it a message "DISK BOOT

That's very strange Claire. My hard drive checked out on the weekend
too. I think it overheated end of last week in the extreme temperatures.
I went thru exactly the same..... Installing all that software, Its as
close to hell as I think I'm willing to get for the moment.
Well I was hoping to clean Maddie today and then stick her undercover
till Sunday but I seem to have run out of hours in the day and I'm off
to Portsmouth tonight. Don't get back till Saturday evening. I guess
I'll be up early on Sunday morning with the rags and cleaner!

Good work Sleuth!!!
God, what a 24 hours I'm having!! My hard drive with Windows
installed decided to cease having the will to live yesterday, so I've
been "merrily" reinstalling Windows plus all my other programs
since. Its just doing another 45mb Windows Update at the moment....
Anyway, this means that at the moment we have no email access apart
from my Yahoo account, so if anyone needs to get hold of Dave at DMUK
please can you call the office number (01438 352523) between 9am and
5pm Monday to Friday or my mobile is 07767 210244.
I'm not sure when our email will be fully functioning again, but I'll
post up on the list when it is.
In the meantime, if it stops raining, I'll go and clean Flopsy for
Sunday!
