Hmmmm.  I actually took it to mean that Jezza doesn't really rate the build quality of a DeLorean, which is understandable for someone that's a fan of cars with modern build quality standards, and so made the comment regarding Gaffa tape.
 
We all know he's not the biggest fan of DeLoreans so he was bound to have a go once the similarity between the Starions louvres and the DeLoreans had been established.

Actually the DeLorean's louvers are taken from the Esprit, but clearly 
the D's left an impression

That's not actually what they said. JC's louvers were held on with gaffa 
tape and he was asked if "deloreans were also held on with gaffa tape" 
with the clear inference that of course they're not.

Well that's what I thought :-)
