[doc] on line?

Just on a slighltly different subject, How do you make yourself appear 
as 'being on line' on this Yahoo site? I notice that some of you have 
a nice yellow smily face showing this, but I don't. Is there something 
in the settings to show on or off line? Off topic question I know but 
it has been puzzeling me.
