Hi all,

My housemate just sent me a text message to tell me about the news of JZD. I had no idea until tonight that he'd even been ill recently.

I've been working at home this weekend and at about 4pm this afternoon, I took VIN #4400 out for a drive for the first time in ages. I wasn't interested in crusing around town but just felt like letting loose for a bit of stress relief, so I headed out to the quiet open roads of the Shropshire countryside. The sun shone down on one of Dunmurray's finest in full flight today as VIN #4400 screamed down the roads, dancing in and out of the shadows; at times, I made a quick change down to third gear and we flew round the bends with total confidence and poise. 

I didn't realise it at the time, but what could have been more of a celebration of John's dream?
