Re: [doc] Re: I'm outta here!!

Hi Mike.
I can build you a 64bit 4Ghz, 3GB Ram, 1 TerraByte Storage, water cooled PC system, but wiring
a CD changer is something ive never done. I`ll get my haynes manual out, just in case theres any
wiring diagrams on there.

Regards,
Paul.

  Cheers Paul,

I though fitting a CD changer would be easy at first, but I've had loads of different people telling me different things, so I thought as you have a Beemer you'd know what I should be doing because no-one else seems to.

I've been told the cables for the changer are behind the boot trim under the cavity for the warning triangle (on the right-hand side), but then someone else said it was behind the same cavity on the left-hand side.

Isn't it funny how things start off simple but get more complicated than you ever imagined?

I don't suppose you're any good at wiring up things like, oh I don't know, CD changers for instance are you?

  Regards,

  Yep,E36 it is !  Claire's right though.
Right hand side for all your gubbins (Triangle/Toolokit), and the center underside of the
rear parcel shelf for your CD-Changer. (May require a bit of drilling and tapping).

    Paul,

I remember seeing your BMW when you came to Chris' house to collect his tapes, and I'm sure it was an E36 model wasn't it?

Anyway, the reason I ask is because I've recently got an E36 myself and I was wondering if you could just answer a quick question for me.

Which side of the boot was the cavity that holds the warning triangle and first aid kit?

It's just something to do with fitting a CD changer, so if you could let me know I'd be extremely grateful as it would save me pulling the boot trim to pieces.

    Thanks in advance,

    Mike Sumner - 178
