I swing the whole mirror out by about 25mm. It improves the rear visibility
on the drivers side and the mirror still remains in that position, even at
high speeds. I've shown this to many RHD owners who now do the same.

I also noticed at Olympia in December at the Bonham's auction, on the RHD
Delorean. The factory or previous owner had done exactly the same but
somehow managed to fix the mirror in that position, either by gluing or
screwing it. The only problem is that if it was to suffer an impact, it
would possibly break off rather than swing back.
