RE: [doc] Angle drive hell

Ah, now thatâs the kind of info I need more of.

I had all kinds of plans to buy/make/repair it. For 35 quid that solves a problem :)

Today weather permitting the fight commences again, expect the Derbyshire air to be blue for a while!

.....
My I remind you that Speedograph in Nottingham now supply our American friends with the replacement angle drives and resisted the attempts of the Americans, to sell them "exclusively".

So we can still benefit from reasonably priced ones, of improved design, on our door-step.

Don't ask me the price, because I cant remember for sure. They will rebuildyour old one for 35GBP.

My Dad and I also knackered a really nice 2-foot breaker bar, invented somenew swear-words and lost a few pounds of sweat trying to undo the angle drive nut on VIN #4400 a while back. In the end it had to be sorted at a local garage which has experience in dealing with DeLoreans.

The general consensus seems to be that it's a pain of a job, but very satisfying once completed. I was lucky enough to find a PJ Grady "hardcore" angle drive with strong stainless components for a bargain on eBay about a yearago. A year on, this piece of kit has been faultless...might be the way togo to avoid having to pull the angle drive nut off again in the future?

VIN #4400 (Currently at DeLorean Motors UK)
