140 MPH speedo's

Paul, Claire, Chris etc.

Thanks to Ian Foster (only!) replying to my plea for a spare Speedo to
"play" with, Speedograph have recently done a 140 MPH conversion. I am still
not 100% happy with the colour of the black backing and numerals, but it's
very close to what I want.
I took load of Speedo photo's at Gaydon and now have more info for them to
work on. ( as soon as I print em off and send them off!)

They can do the work, and the cost will be about ?100 GBP plus vat to
convert your own speedo. They / We have decided against an exchange basis
as according to Dave Musson, it tends to get abused with folk sending in
non-working units! So, if your own speedo is working, send it in and they
will re-calibrate it and re-do the face to match. Or you may choose to wait
another month of so until we have fully fine tuned the design.

Yes Chris,

It was the front lock that was catching last time (rear lock would
release,
leaving door closed 'diagonally'!!). That was about 2 years ago and Mark
did
an excellent job at sorting it out.

This problem now seems to be different, I can hear the bar/arm trying to
release, but somehow it is blocked ...?

If you know of a good petrol additive I can get my father to do it and run
it for a while. She was running sweet though during last week, after
having
sat for a year! I need a real speedo, not that 85mph BS to see what speed
I'm really doing!!!

PS. Your new seat covers look good in her.

Cheers, IAN
