Re: Fw: [doc] Old practical classics mag

Hi Nick (I'm back at work now, hence diff email addr)
It was all going too well really, Flopsy arrived on Oct 17th as a non runner, and by Oct 20th she was running (altho not moving). Dave's recovered the seats with some new black leather ones from Chrispy, cleaned things up, fitted new fuse box, new clutch master cylinder, checked the brakes work, fitted new struts, new drivers small window, new battery and the bush at the bottom of the steering column. We bought her because we felt sorry for her and didnt want her to be parted out. The frame is in excellent condition, which was a complete relief. The big jobs are still to come - every body panel except the passenger door is damaged, the dash needs recovering, new front lowering springs need to go on yet, new headlamps, wire in foglamps, change front fascia, etc. I just want to get in and drive her!!! Those new seats are just sooooo comfy!!!
I just hope my dodgy left knee can cope with the clutch, otherwise we might have to sell her and get me an auto :o( - not that theres anything wrong with autos of course!! ;o)

Speedy progress so far!!!
I haven't done much with mine as yet. I need to clean up my front left brake as it's not working as well. Had no time at all, bummer.
Love my car to bits :)
Nick.
