RE: [doc] European rear lights

Stian,

AndyWithers  and the Hooper’s have both removed their “rubber lights” ( not sure of proper spelling)  I know they are hanging on to the originals, so they can be replace them in the future. But its not just the lights, there is a custom bent alloy mounting, not too difficult to make, and a fibre glass custom made surround. This is rather crude and painted black. You would really need to borrow oneand take a pattern off it.

The lights are still in use on modern lorry trailers . The body is made of black rubber and simply bends / stretches over the lip of the coloured lens.

I will send a photo direct to you . ( as I can’t seem to get with yahoo!)

Subject: [doc] European rear lights

Hi,

Does anyone have a spare set of "European rear lights" for the DeLorean?
AFAIK, the lights were simply taken from a trailer! (Is there any truth in that?)

I think I also would need the plastic(?) insert for the rear fascia in order to install the Euro-lights.

The Euro-lights are featured on the Euro-prototype DeLoreans (presumable RHDs),

I was wondering if any of you had changed those lights to the windowpane-USA ones?

Best wishes
