RE: [doc] FW: Delorean Prize Winner

Mike,

I know your only joking but, envy is a negative thought, always think positive..

Say to your self “he’s got one, I’d like one, how did he do it?”

Barry was just lucky. But generally you make you own luck.

Right up till age 25 I lived hand to mouth, it was working for myself that put me in a position to be able to indulge myself. But self employmentdoesn’t suit all.

Just my thought for the day!

Yes, me!

I'm very, very green with envy.

All I can say is that I hope this Barry hasn't already got a DeLorean, because I think people that already have them shouldn't really enter a competition to win ANOTHER one!

Those of us on minimum wage that drive poxy Fiestas that blow up should have more of a chance (especially when they've been fans of the DeLoream for the last 12 years!)

List / Barry.

Barry has been very luck in winning the BTTF “play dot.com” car.  Regarding the “value”  EBay will of course find who is interested.

The BTTF work is of a rather “basic” nature, OK for 95% of the populace, but not for we pure DeLorean/ BTTF anoraks!

It could certainly appeal to a promotions type company.

A proper good running, “un-mucked about” DeLorean can be had for about 12K .

For 15K there is an IMMACULATE oneon the IOM.

The BTTF stuff was created by a friend of mine, and classic car restorer in the Channel Islands, hence the 3K bill.

There must be many members of our club “green with envy”!

Hi,

Thanks for the reply Chris.  Well had a call this morning from Play.com, company Director Simon Perree and I am definitely the proud owner of a Fully Kitted out BTTF Delorean Car.

In answer to your question, it is fully road worthy – MOTetc, they’ve been driving it around London for promotion.  It has the Full BTTF Conversion on it too – easily removable – restoring it to its original look – but why would a BTTF Fan want to do this?

Based on the above, I was looking for something around the £15k mark – the car cost them £12k and they spent another £3k on extras.  I will probably put the car on Ebay.co.uk too to start the bidding and you could do the same on your Website too?

Look forward to your reply

Who’s a lucky boythen Barry!

I  ( think)  I know the car, indeed I supplied a load of spares for it.  I know the people who did the BTTF conversion work on it etc.

Has it still got the BTTF stuff on it?

If not,  can you get it included?

I’m sure we can find a buyer for both through the club.

What price are you thinking off?  To answer my own question, if its Mot’d and fully running  about  £10k should be achievable.

It depends how much of a rush you’re in.

The cheaper cars always sell quickly.

We have two for sale in the club asking £12.5K

Let me know what you think
