Re: [doc] Stainless Steel Polish

Hi James

Paul and Steve used it on their fascias, and it looked fine. It was pretty hot at Supercar sunday and I don't remmeber Paul mentioning a yellow haze. I can't speak from experience as I haven't lacquered my fascias, so have not used it on them. I use Car Plan Black Trim Wax on the "black bits" which gives a very nice even matte finish.

The manufacturer is Henkel Ecolab, and Henkel own Loctite among other things, so I guess there's international distribution.

Several years ago I used a 3M Stainless Steel Polish that had a lemony
smell, and where I had been able to use my previous polish on the "black"
and "painted" areas of the car (fascias, louvre, windshield reveals, etc),
this new stuff after exposure to the sun turned those areas kind of yellow.

I then went back to using the Super Hi-Lite stuff and it cleaned up the
yellow haze. After seeing the SS-Glo stuff here, I switched to that.

If this stuff from EcoLab (a big name here in the states) works on the
painted/black areas, too, I'd be interested in seeing it in action at NEC
this year.
