Title: RE: [doc] NEC show...
You misunderstand Stephen, I wasn't fishing for the job, its not nice!
But I'm sure you'll be able to talk your local Plater/polisher into doing it foe you.

All the best, "one sets enough Parnham".

So Chris, you're saying that for 200 little gold colored coins, I could have wheels just like yours, how long would it take? How would I get the wheels up to Derby? Are we talking days to do it, or hours? Would I be able to come up in the morning, and leave late at night?

Stephen,

If you can make the cheque out to me please. Send to my home address.

Regarding my wheels, I just used a chemical paint stripper ( tyres valves removed first of course) then "polished " them. It sounds simple, but its a horrid messy job, you use a 5 HP polishing spindle, lots of lifting and polishing soap.

Its the sort of thing that any "Electro-Plater" or metal polisher could do for you. cost about 50 GBP per wheel.

Mine have been done about 3 years now, you just have to remember to give them a quick polish with Solvo-Autosol or similar a couple of times a year, and don't leave for days wet and dirty or they will seriously mark.

I understand that James Esprey was so impressed with them at Euro-fest that he now offers a version very similar, but clear lacquered on top for better durability. My only problem lacquers is that they can get chipped or rubbed on the edge and this can lead to the weather getting underneath and them looking grubby eventually.  You pays your money and makes your choice!

No chance for PSO to appear then? Poor thing.Any way, Chris, what do I need to write on that £50 cheque for the springs(name or company?), and where should I send it to. Will do that this evening after work you see.

Kind regards

Stephen.

P.S. Where could I get my wheels done the same way as those very sharp, shinny wheels on one of your cars. I was told theywere diamond cut by one other member, what did they mean by that? I intendedto get mine sand blasted and repainted a brilliant shiny silver, but then I saw yours. How can I achieve that kind of shine and beauty? Please tell...

I'm currently negotiating for a big stand, no decisions yet, what with
"proper BTTF" cars, zero miles RHD, Twin Turbo etc etc.
NEC 9th and 10th of November for any one who 's forgotten.
