Had this problem with my BX (with 150,000 miles on it at the time). The
front disks just would not budge even a millimetre. My mate Joe showed
me how to do it.
Get a largeish hammer and gently knock the disc at the edge. Then rotate
the wheel 180 degrees and knock the opposite side. Then rotate 90
degrees and knock again, then rotate 180 degrees and repeat. In other
words keep knocking the 4 corners of an imaginary cross, knocking hte
opposite corner at each hit (where possible). For about the first 20
knocks it may not even appear to be moving.
Hitting it hard just jams it. Be patient and you'll be surprised how
easily it'll come off. Might be an idea to soak in WD40 first.
It's kind of like the problem with the steering wheel!
