RE: [doc] Funny clicking sound & start problems

James,

Andy recently had a similar problem, he replaced the starter motor and
solenoid etc etc, before he found a dirty contact in one of the engine bay
electrical plugs / sockets. I have had similar problems which turned out to
be a bad earth connection to the chassis, again in the engine bay.

Hi all,

Recently I have encountered a problem which seems to mainly happen
when the car is hot (might just be coincidence).
When I put the key in to start the car and turn it I get a clicking
sound from the relay compartment and nothing else happens. It's not
the starter motor i.e. the battery is not flat and after a 3 or 4
tries the car will suddenly start.

Any ideas what this could be? dodgy connection, bad relay etc...

Regards

James
