Michael,

Yes , Basically we normally have a small indicator repeater mounted on the
back end of the front wing (fender). We don't normally have "yellow" lights
permanently on with our side lights or head lights. Although commercial
vehicles do.

Volvos now have amber running lights front and rear. They have an additional side indicator though.

With the DeLorean most people change the rear red side marker for a yellow
one, (as on the front), then re-wire them so that they both flash with the
indicator ( turn signal). I had to do this re-wiring on Dusty because it had
been quite finished by Woller- Hodeck, indeed it still had the original
American style rear lights as well.

I prefer the red rear lights - it makes more sense after all! It gives the car more of a "spaceship" feel :-)

If you do this conversion , you will of course do away with you permanent
yellow side markers,( unless you go in for some fancy relays) as there is
not room for a double filament bulb in the holder.

Not so - you can just earth the existing bulb onto the + side of the front indicator. Simple.
