Nice to hear from you again. Its over 6 months since we met at Eurofest!

How are things in the space industry? I suppose I shouldn't be surprised
that you are into BTTF as well as DeLorean's!

I am OK with my coffee grinder / Mr. Fusion decals, thanks to fellow club
member , Paul.

However I've still to make the "plutonium chamber" and all the rest of the
stuff that mounts over the engine. I have a lot off the "inside" stuff
except the large rotary switch that mounts aft of the gear lever. I also
need the roof mounted switch panel .

Have you got any spare gear?

As I will be using a separate car this time, all the stuff will be
permanently mounted. The rear view mirror is not going to work any way as I
will be filling up the space behind the seats.

Ok, Ok. I also made an "authentic" Mr. Fusion from a Krups some
time ago. Let's keep this between us.

The most practical way to finish the job is to ....

1. Carefully disassemble it to remove the motor, funnel, et. al.
from the inside.

2. Next use some abrasive pot/pan powder cleanser from under your
sink to remove the markings from the outside of the plastic.

3. Determine how you are going to mount it on your "plutonium
chamber" and provide the necessary holes for the fastener(s) in the
bottom.

4. Reassemble without the innards in such that the lid and
"ground-up-beans" catcher will stay in place. (I found it easy to
use a combination of double sided foam tape, cable ties, and rubber
bands to hold everything snug in place.)

5. Place the stickers (I will mail to you) on the sides to provide
the graphics. (I've researched several photos of the ones at
Universal Studios, and on the film. They all differ a bit, so my
version is a compromise.)

6. Mount it on your chamber, and then place the chamber on the back
of your car. Hop into the drivers seat, and note the view from your
rear view mirror is blocked, and in turn, you can no longer safely
drive the car. (Oddly enough, I found the cooling vents were not a
problem!)

7. Put the internal parts from the Krups in a safe place so you can
later return the unit to operating condition, or use as spare parts
for the other unit you keep in the kitchen to actually grind coffee.
(If you own a DMC, that is the only kind of grinder to have - make
sure it is hidden when you have friends over to visit.)

If anybody should question the above, assure them that you have it on
good authority such is NOT rocket science.

So, do you also need the parts for a Flux Capacitor?
