If you really want to know why people max out/ trick out their car's and take them to max power, it's because they see in their cars what we see in the delorean that some people don't, they can see that with quite a few wads of cash their car can be better than any of the other cars made by the same manufacturer and they put on all those body kits because they are basically making a car that they want and would love to have instead of buying a standard car from a dealership. They are building a car to there specifications out of another car.
