Re: [doc] Mini RC DeLorean

Arran. Thats the picture I got my idea from!!!. I wanted my HPI Savage 21 with a delorean
shell, which should make it resemble that picture once done. Of course not being content
with that I wanted one for my HPI RS4, which currently has  a BMW shell on it. Nobody
obviously makes these, so it looks like we`ll have to be inovative.

Regarding fitting a Sunstar Shell on a RC Truck/Car: The Sunstar models are WAY too small
for any of these. The RS4 for example (My Small Car) is at least twice the size of the
sunstar model. I wish that was the case, I`d have done that already :^)
Nice idea though. They may be some Nitro RC cars somewhere that are small enough,
but as yet I`ve not seen any.
"I think the only way to make one, is to make a model delorean from clay, and make resin casts
from it" , but thats probably easier said than done.

Paul Birks DOC298.

  Group,

  http://www.ncdmc.org/Memphis/Image010.jpg

I don't know if any of you have seen this car before but i'm sure it
would make for a relatively simple & extremely interesting project to
recreate in model form. If you took a Sunstar DeLorean and the chassis of a
large RC car i think it could be done.

There are a few more pics of this one along with many other custom D's on
the above site (just remove the image name from the link to get there). I
often spend time trawling the net for D stuff but have never come along this
site before. Just thought it might be of interest to anyone who hasn't seen
  it before.

  Arran Jenkins (DOC 287)

Thanks for that Ian. I have looked on quite a few forums and websites,
including savage21.net. Unfortunatley it seems like no-one (so far)
has made one, or is willing to do so.
Its a shame, because the DeLorean shell would look cool on any
  R/C car or truck.

I've never seen one and I seriously doubt that they're readily  available.
I'd love to be proven wrong though, i think a DeLorean shell would  look
  quite
    good on my Savage SS.

Your best bet would be to post a message on a couple of good R/C forums,
    like _www.savage-central.com_ (http://www.savage-central.com)  or
_www.rcuniverse.com_ (http://www.rcuniverse.com)  and see what the experts
  have to say.

    Good Luck
