[doc] Re: Barn DMC update

Hi Thomas,

I guess it depends how bad the impact was in the first place and what
it hit (and where).....Flopsy had been playing "fender benders" before
we bought her, its amazing what the impact absorbers behind the front
and rear fascias can withstand.  Take a look at www.ourdelorean.co.uk
and check out some of the resto pictures, you'll see the damage to the
original front fascia but also how well the foam impact absorber
protected what was behind. I'd say check thoroughly the radiator and
fans and all the mechanicals under the front and the front frame for
damage (depends where the car was hit as to what could have been
damaged) and also take a careful look at the panels, especially the
notoriously rare left hand front wing - Flopsy's is mullered, but I
think it gives her a kinda 'character' - well thats my excuse until I
can afford to get it fixed!!  You might be lucky and it wont be as bad
as you feared and you may get a bargain.  Take a leaf from Flopsy's
book, you dont have to be pretty to be roadworthy!!!
Anyway, I hoping like mad that I we can get the Flopmeister back on
the road for next Wednesday night, we've got a motor racing night at
our Hemel Hempstead Renault Dealership and I want to take her along
and upstage the F1 car!!!  :oD  (Hawseybabey, Fancy coming along and
blowing the showroom windows out with your exhaust as you arn't too
far away from Hemel'??)
