This is exactly why I don't mind paying a bit more for higher quality products, they last longer than the cheaper "price point" products. Angle drives & jet hot coated exhausts (vs stainless) come to mind. Shannon Y 16506 |

Hy Guys,
I’m no a frequent poster in the is group. But let me give you a heads up on the stabilus struts. I am a DeLoran owner since 1993. I still have a pair of Stabilus struts. If I’m not mistaken, I bought them in 1994 from P.J. Grady. After almost 20 years, they are still functioning today, keeping my doors up just as they did when I bought them. The quality they supplied back then is unbelievably good. I never met anyone with struts this old from another manufacturer. Actually they were manufactured by the Colmar gas strut company, a subsidiary of Stabilus. But here comes the interesting part. P.J. Grady stopped supplying these struts, because people would rather buy cheaper struts than give more money for better quality. He just couldn’t sell them anymore. So Tom, this is a very good initiative, but be aware that a lot of your customers will make this choice. Good Luck, Frank Lommen Venray, Netherlands
