I suggest any car is rarely worth even close to the sum total of what has been spent on it.

I would love to be able to get $27,000 for my car.  I've been trying to sell it for years at $30,000 with ZERO offers above $20,000 for a Stage II car with over $30,000 in documented service at DMCMW.

Apparently, DeLoreans are worth more wrecked than whole.
