Hi JP, As an original owner, I can tell you that there are only 2 wires on my car that go to the fuel pump. Also, I have stored my car for over a year once, didn't drain the tank and I haven't had any start problems. I do have a little up & down idle though. Good luck with finding the fixes to your problems.
