Gulf Coast DeLoreans already has two carbureted owners (and two K-Jetted owners whose other classic vehicles are carbureted). It is primarily a carbureted knowledge base. That another area owner asked them to share that knowledge with him is arguably more appropriate than asking them to work on his K-Jet. If he lived in New Jersey things might be different, but he doesn't -- he lives in Louisiana. The decisions he makes are going to be based upon his realities, not yours. And of course ultimately it's his car, not yours. Whatever he decides to do with it is his perogative, not yours. There is no inherent flaws in the design that will prevent it from working properly. Yes, it is more complex than a carburetor, but if this unknown person has already spent $4K trying to get it working, then it would be a reasonable expectation that he/she should seek out some better help/advice on K-Jet instead of Steve taking advantage of a frustrated owner to indoctrinate another owner in to "dumbing down" their car. > > The discussion that started this topic, finding a local mechanic to work on K-Jet, was a good example of perpetuating mis-information about support for K-Jet.
