If you widen to the whole family of Jetronic you inlcude many more. The K is a subset of the Jetronic with Lambda. As things go it is a fairly simple system. It has very few adjustments and once properly running requires clean fuel. As with just about any fuel system it does not store well. Especially with today's fuels. I would estimate that a majority of problems on a regularly used system are more related to electrical problems like the RPM relay, a bad fuel pump and melting out the #7 fuse. The other large group of problems is related to the fuel pick-up system in the tank and that is unique to Deloreans. Fortunately all of the problems are well documented and there are plenty of parts available. The majority of the work is to undo previous incompetent work and clean the system.
