Re: [DML] Delorean Owner

No.no..good information. Thank you very much. I do agree that you (we) are our own best mechanic (if we prefer to that type of work). But...for me, it's not about money or doing the work myself -but it about my time. My time is very important to me (can't get it back), I personally don't want to be under a hood (no disrespect). PJ Grady:, I will definitely pursue that. I will have to lookup the address. It appears that's PJ's is the route I will need to take for major issues, but I also appreciate the info about firestone. I will be contacting them for minor concerns. Thank you.

No offense but I've found that I am my best mechanic. I was afraid to
work on the car when I first got it and now I do nearly everything
myself. If money is a little tight you can save thousands of dollars
by working on the car yourself. These cars are super easy to work on
with the exception of one thing that I won't mention.

Or if you can afford a monthly mechanic bill, I would definately deal
with PJ Grady. Distance shouldn't be an issue if you can afford it.
Just have the car shipped to him and have him do a complete overhaul.
For oil changes and belts just bring it to your local Firestone. They
do my alignments and tires on the Delorean and I've been happy thus
  far.

Today - I don't work with my hands at all...don't plan to start now:)....I was looking for some "credible" mom & pop service shop in my area, where I could just pull-in, have my vehicle services and be on my way.....

When I lived back home in California, I use to have my vehicle serviced and repaired at Delorean One, but now I am here in the N. VA area.....I am trying to find another good place.
