Re: [DML] Spec .02 Steering -- Success

Excuse me, Bill but get your facts straight. My customers for my steering joints are not required to "trim one end". The intermediate shaft is 17mm diameter - though it isn't as though the original is under-specced. My product is also less expensive than the Borgeson option - why not include that salient fact in your "comparison"?

It occurred to me to wonder if vibration reducing steering linkages are usually found on cars with power steering and where the steering shaft does NOT transfer 100% of steering torque

Spec .02 steering is a complete success. "It transformed my steering." (Quotation credit: www.delorean.co.uk)

Actually my steering was pretty doggone tight already (everyone who drove my car at DCS did so with the OEM steering column in place), but Spec .02 does have a vibration reducing U joint at one end. It also is 100% stainless steel. And the connecting shaft is approximately 50% bigger diameter than OEM.

Spec .02 steering is 100% identical to other stateside products, albeit with vibration reduction (and no markup). It differs from a foreign product as follows:
1) No interference issues (the foreign product has to be be trimmed on one end to clear the firewall)
2) Connecting shaft may be bigger diameter
3) Made in USA components
4) And of course *VIBRATION REDUCTION*

I'm pretty sure I could feel individual tire treads breaking traction on Laurinburg's twistiest roads....
