Thinking about this further: do the bulb and the heating element use the same harness connector? I don't have an OEM cigarette lighter on either of my cars so I can't check. If the harness connectors are the same, then they are simply reversed. OEM was Red/Orange, which is keyed to the light switch. If you want to rewire cigarette illumination to OEM, there is a Red/Orange junction at the extreme rear of the console (passenger side) you can tap into, and the rheostat is also used as a junction point. NAPA sells Orange jacketed wire which is close enough to OEM to keeps things decipherable (IMHO OEM wire looks more Orange/Red than Red/Orange) > > Bill Robertson > #5939 > ------------------------------------ To address comments privately to the moderating team, please address: moderators@xxxxxxxxxxx For more info on the list, tech articles, cars for sale see www.dmcnews.com To search the archives or view files, log in at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/dmcnewsYahoo!
