Might be bad gas. Mine doesn't like anything but premium. Similar symptoms.

If anyone has any suggestions it would be most appreciated.

Otherwise I may not be able to bring my manual Delorean, which I just fully restored.
The issue is upon acceleration in 1st, 2nd, or 3rd gear (i.e heavy pedal or even half travel on the gas there is massive hesitation and the car begins buckles, like its sucking fumes, which i think is extreme.) The car has NOT sat for an extended period I've started it regularly.

Yes the tank is at least half full.  In 4th or 5th gear at higher speeds the car is fine no problems even with full rapid pedal travel on the gas!  Its just from the start up to higher speeds. I have already drained and cleaned out the fuel tank and refilled it with hi test gas. With no improvements, I changed the fuel filter and plugs about two years ago. Could it be the plugs or a fuel component like the CPR?
I would like any advice to fix this major issue so I can bring the car.
