Delorean Paris Rhone Starters, Let me ask a question to all you owners. How long did the original starter in your Delorean last, did I hear 30+ years and still going on most. The Chinese starter for the Eagle has been around for a long time and in quantity of about 25 at a time I can buy them here in the states from importers for less than $100.00 dollars ea. You can go on Ebay and buy rebuilt ones for about $125.00 or less. So when others ran out of the original time tested and true that lasted 30+ years and are now selling a Chinese starter for $250.00 + dollars. Ask yourself how long will the Chinese starter hold up compared to the original. Do you think it will be there 30+ years or as long as you own the car. Also did you ask yourself why it's so much lighter? Chinese have a way of skimping on everything and starters are no different. Yes, I have them in stock for around $150.00 but I normally try to sell the time tested and true DeLorean starter with brand new solenoids, drives, brushes with a 5 year warranty for $189.00. I'll bet you can't get that from anyone else. So if your in a jam and just got to have it fine but if you want a time tested and true with ( new ) not NOS parts that will last 30+ years you know where to call. Get or keep your old starter because you will need it.
