Your battery should last more than 2 to 3 years. My batteries last in the neighborhood of 7 years or more. In the past my car was normally driven 6 to 10 times a year. Last year I was driving it about twice a week, in the warm months, going to local cruise nights. Every time I put the car in the garage, I use a master battery disconnect switch located in the battery compartment and I use it at the shows while the doors are open so as not to drain the battery. I only remember once when I went to start the car that it wouldn't start and that was before I installed the disconnect switch and that was back in the late 80's. As to the batteries that I use, I have normally have Die Hards because there is almost always a Sears or Kmart around as I travel with my car.
