Hi Jeff, it does work well - I've used it several times ;-) if you're interested, I have a video on youtube showing how the uprated window regulators should be installed - just do a search for "mgutkowski delorean window" Best Wishes, Martin Sent from my BlackBerry® -----Original Message----- From: "drjeffcooke@xxxxxxxxxx" <drjeffcooke@xxxxxxxxxx> Sender: dmcnews@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Date: Fri, 27 Apr 2012 03:37:24 To: <dmcnews@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> Reply-To: dmcnews@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [DML] Re: Toll Window Placement in Carrier Martin, This is going to work really well. I got the carrier in again tonight and I'll be able to manually run it up & down the rails, and then adjust the rails to avoid any 'jumping' problems. Then I'll hook up the motor and adjust the motor position. The finally, as you've suggested place the window in the frame and bring the carrier up to it. I've tried out the procedure without the adhesive. There was a black rubber/adhesive that just didn't want to let go. Anyways now I can see both dimples in the glass. When I put the glass in the carrier, the dimples are about 1/4 wider on each side than the metal tabs in the carrier. > > Is the correct placement of the glass to have an equal gap between the metal tabs (on the carrier) and the dimples? > > Just FYI - Prior to taking it out one dimple (rearmost one) was just under the end of the metal tab and the other (foremost one) was about 1/2 gap from the tab. > > Thanks > Jeff #6313 > > > > ------------------------------------ > > To address comments privately to the moderating team, please address: > moderators@... > > For more info on the list, tech articles, cars for sale see www.dmcnews.com > > To search the archives or view files, log in at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/dmcnewsYahoo!
