I would urethane the glass back into the carrier the same way it was before you removed it. I recently made the mistake of trying to aligning the dimples the way it is supposed to be in the carrier and when I reinstalled it, the glass didn't close properly. Thankfully, I still had the old glass and carrier as reference (the old glass was scratched) and aligned the new glass in the new carrier the way the old glass was in the original carrier. When I reinstalled it, it closed perfectly. I now know that any time I take anything off my car, to take note how it came off and make sure to reinstall it the same way. Being that our cars are hand built, each one is slightly different and fitment varies between them. Good luck... There was a black rubber/adhesive that just didn't want to let go. Anyways now I can see both dimples in the glass. When I put the glass in the carrier, the dimples are about 1/4 wider on each side than the metal tabs in the carrier. > > Is the correct placement of the glass to have an equal gap between the metal tabs (on the carrier) and the dimples? > > Just FYI - Prior to taking it out one dimple (rearmost one) was just under the end of the metal tab and the other (foremost one) was about 1/2 gap from the tab. > > Thanks > Jeff #6313 > > > > ------------------------------------ > > To address comments privately to the moderating team, please address: > moderators@xxxxxxxxxxx > > For more info on the list, tech articles, cars for sale see www.dmcnews.com > > To search the archives or view files, log in at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/dmcnewsYahoo!
