I would be happy to compare my waist line to yours Steve... but be warned I run 50 miles a week and try to put in a 100 a week on the bicycle.;-) I am glad you carry a spare tire Bill I don't. If say I had a tire problem on a long trip and couldn't get a tire right away, I'd improvise! Tow car to a shop I thought I could trust, rent a car to complete journey and order a tire or tires to fix the car and pick it up at my conveinence. Fix-a-flat can handle most routine flats and a catistrophic one will be handles as above. Might it be inconvienent and maybe even costly sure but to me its worth the risk and obviously since 1987 I've been right! Seat belts are in no way the same as a spare tire there are plenty of cars that don't even provide a spare anymore like the Leaf mentioned above and I don't think any new bMw has a spare.
