I don't think a single BMW has a spare tire anymore, and for sure the E9x series hasn't had them since they came out mid-2000's. Just talked to my dad - probably 1,000,000 miles driven and used a spare tire 3 times in over four decades of driving. Hasn't needed a spare in at least 25 years. I would classify a flat tire requiring a tire change to be the same thing as if my fuel pump or ignition module went out. Call a tow truck, get it fixed, move on with life but definitely don't fret over it or plan much for it. I'm rarely wearing clothes while driving around that I would want to get filthy changing a tire anyway. It's actually hilarious that someone is driving around in a DeLorean with a FULL size spare - in a car that has no cargo room to begin with, in order to prevent a problem that is in reality, very unlikely. It's all a game of probabilities. Smart cars have no spare by the way, nor do many performance cars because it represents extra weight. Tyre foam has also been invented in the past 30 years meaning you can temporarily re-inflate a punctured tyre. > > You can preach to your heart's content but know that you're a) wrong and b) it's quite entertaining as a result > > Martin > > > Sent from my BlackBerry® > > -----Original Message----- > From: "content22207" <brobertson@...> > Sender: dmcnews@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx > Date: Tue, 24 Apr 2012 18:28:59 > To: <dmcnews@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> > Reply-To: dmcnews@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx > Subject: [DML] Re: AAA, Spare tires, and more of Bill's rants. > > Anyone who drives hundreds-thousands of miles from home without a usable spare tire is taking a completely avoidable risk -- period. > > Bill Robertson > #5939 > > --- In dmcnews@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx, Marc Levy <malevy_nj@> wrote: > > > > Don't change the subject now Bill..
