Actually he is wrong. The Megasquirt system does interpolate between cells. I am fairly involved in that group. As he explained Megasquirt fuel maps, the largest matrix you can have is 16x16. That means more than 300 RPM between each fuel value (750-6000 RPM). Apparently the Megasquirt controller does not average fuel delivery for RPM's between table values -- you jump from one to another discreetly (kind of like the difference between analog and digital data). That leads to things such as fluctuating idle speed, just like K-Jet -- something to keep in mind as owners evaluate fuel delivery options.
