Why don't you try it and post the results? I am only familiar with Ford's Duraspark and TFI (not an option without their proprietary distributor), so I went with what I know. Owners could also try an aftermarket controller like MSD, but that would lack the ability to replace it at any parts house upon failure. It also would cost significantly more than $27.
