The report that I posted a link to earlier notes that a Volvo steering wheel was used, so the "big hollow area" in the DeLorean steering wheel is irrelevant as it was not the one used in this test. The cars used in these videos were production cars, with "crumple extensions" though most likely without the added reinforcement of the front end recall (which wouldn't have had much effect, if any, in a 35/40mph crash like this). I'm seeing an airbag deploy in that video?? Does this explain the big hollow area in the steering wheel? Is this perhaps before they added the crumple extension to the frame? -Mike [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] ------------------------------------ To address comments privately to the moderating team, please address: moderators@xxxxxxxxxxx For more info on the list, tech articles, cars for sale see www.dmcnews.com To search the archives or view files, log in at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/dmcnewsYahoo!
